A Bit About Me

Ainsley was born in April of 2009 and has grown up on her family's equestrian center, Seven Pines Stables, in Oakwood Ontario.  Ainsley has been riding since before she could walk.  She has always had a passion for horses.

Ainsley is an honours student currently in grade 10 and has begun her journey to complete the international baccalaureate program at her high school.  In her spare time Ainsley enjoys down hill skiing in the winter and camping with her  family in the summer.

Riding Experience

Ainsley has been riding since a very young age.  She has grown up at her family's equestrian center that offers boarding and lessons.  She had access to a handful of wonderful "schoolies" to learn the ropes from and so many riding friends.

Ainsley has always loved dressage but has also continued to ride and show in the hunter/jumpers as well.  Over the last 3 years she has started taking on projects to bring along and sell to help pay for her education and riding.  These projects have been  Thorougbred crosses, a haflinger and currently she is working with a lovely Thorougbred gelding she purchased off the track that she is planning to show in the Silver Series in 2025.    Below is a little introduction to her horse history.... the horses that all influenced the rider she is today.

The Ponies - Brambles and Dorian

Brambles - a sweet buckskin sec A Welsh pony mare that Ainsley started her "show career" on.  This adorable mare gave Ainsley a great start but also taught her to ride as she could be a cheeky girl.  Brambles is 33 yrs old this year.

Dorian - a grey sec B Welsh pony gelding that was a fantastic step up from Brambles. Ainsley and Dorian showed in the Welsh classes at the Royal Winter Fair,  the Trilogy Combined Test Series - taking home Year End Res Champion of the Grasshopper Division and so many more.  Lots of achievements on this super pony.

Rowan - Imagine That

Rowan was one of the most impactful horses for Ainsley.  She was able to start riding him at 9 yrs of age and this pair accomplished so much.  Rowan is now retired at age 20 and loving life.  These 2 Showed at the Trilogy Combined Test Series, winning year end Champion for every division from 2' all the way to 3' - in each division they did a dressage test as well as a jumper round.  Ainsley and Rowan also showed at Caledon dressage up to 1st level and did all kinds of Pony Club events together.  This lovely roan Quarter Horse is one in a million and allowed Ainsley to try a lot of things.

Gucci and All-Star

Gucci - a KWPN mare that Ainsley took from Training level to 2nd level a few years.  Ainsley and Gucci showed at shows such as Ottawa Dressage Festival and all the Caledon Dressage Shows.   Ainsley and Gucci ended up with a few Reserve Champions and some great results.

All-star - a KWPN gelding owned and ridden by Ainsley's mother.  Ainsley spent one show season on him.  Ainsley and All-star had a fantastic Ottawa Dressage Festival, taking home Reserve Champion of the Rising Star Equitation competition.  They also had some fantastic scores up and into the 70's.

Frankie  - Frangelico

Frangelico  "Frankie" is Ainsley's current dressage horse.  He is a delightful 16.2h liver chestnut Oldenburg gelding.  He was purchased in December of 2024.  This pair is very new but progressing well.  Frankie and Ainsley have spent the winter working hard to prepare for a busy show season in 2025.  Ainsley has declared  to try and make the Canadian Team for the North American Youth Championships at the Junior level in 2025.  Ainsley  works under coach Tina Irwin of Team Irwin Dressage.
